An access log is a detailed list of all the files which were accessed by the visitors of a certain website. Every file which was requested in some way will be listed, so if you have just one page with 3 embedded pics, one video and one embedded text file, as an illustration, the access log shall contain a total of six entries - one for any of the six files which were accessed when the site visitor opened the webpage. A log normally offers the file name and path, the date, along with the visitor’s Operating System, Internet browser and IP address. Sometimes you may also find the referrer sites that sent the visitors to your website. The information which an access log file includes is in human-readable plain text format. It can be processed by special software on a desktop machine and used to write reports on the functionality of a site, in addition to the web statistics that your hosting server may have generated.
Access Log Manager in Cloud Website Hosting
If you opt for one of our cloud website hosting solutions, you will get detailed access logs for your sites. After you sign in to your Hepsia CP, you can check out the Access/Error Logs section where you will see a thorough list of the domain names and subdomains that you have added or created within the hosting account. You'll simply have to click on the On button, that's found on the right-hand side of each hostname and our cloud platform shall start generating logs immediately. To disable this feature, you will have to follow the exact same steps and click on the Off button. The domains and subdomains can be handled separately and whenever you want. You can find a download link within the Logs section of the Control Panel for any log produced by our system, allowing you to save the file to your PC and view it or use it with some log processing software.
